AJC Freight Solutions is the result of a dream launched 50 years ago.
That dream by two Atlantans, Gerald Allison and Eric Joiner, recognized that too many countries did not have a way to get the protein-based food supplies that their people needed. So, Allison and Joiner visualized a solution. The company they created, AJC International, began with a single shipment in 1972 of frozen chicken to Puerto Rico. They solved two problems. How to source meat, seafood and vegetables and how to get them delivered.
Little by little the dream evolved. Today AJC Group is a two-billion-dollar business and one of the world’s largest exporters of food through its complex logistics network of trucks, ships, and international ports. The company that began with a single shipment in 1972 and a dream to help feed the world, today exports food from 53 countries and delivers nearly 3 billion pounds of food through its marketing partners to 150 countries.
That worldwide logistics expertise resulted in the launch of AJC Freight Solutions. With its access to the Group’s logistics systems, technologies, experience, and financial resources AJCFS supports regional and Fortune 500 companies across the U.S. and Canada. Freight Solutions also handles International NVOCC shipments to and from worldwide ports fulfilling the original vision of the AJC International founders.
